Sign up to participate and you’ll be placed into a team led by our UK instructors (Team Susanna, Team Rowan or Team Demi), and collectively, you’ll work together to cycle the distance between the Echelon studios to be the first to reach the final stop, our Chattanooga studio, in December. You won’t be able to choose your own teams - we’ll be mixing you up!
The below is just a guide - the ultimate destination is Chattanooga, and you have 10 weeks to get there.
Activity by month:
October 1st - 31st: London - Hamburg - Paris - 1716km
November 1st - 30th: Paris - Miami - 7352km
December 1st - 9th: Miami - Chattanooga 1362 km
Total: 10,430 km
Time: 385.25 hours
Individually, you will contribute distance in every ride you do on the Echelon App during each month. Both live and on-demand rides will contribute to your team’s total. Echelon will track the distance completed by each team member to find your team’s total distance. You do not need to be an athlete to be involved - everyone’s efforts make a difference.
Echelon will announce your team and teammates on 29th September, and each team will be asked to choose a team captain and come up with an official team hashtag. There will be a prize for the team who finishes first and travels the greatest distance between October-December, and a live ride on 9 Dec to announce the winners.
Entries close on Wednesday, 28 September at 11:59pm, and teams will be announced by Thursday, 29th.
WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?
Echelon will place you into a team led by one of our UK instructors (Team Susanna, Team Rowan or Team Demi). Collectively, you'll work together in your team over the next few months to cycle the distance between the global Echelon studios, to be the first team to reach the final stop in December.
HOW WILL I FIND OUT MY TEAM?
After we place you into a team, you will be notified via email and on the Riders Community.
HOW DO I CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS MY TEAM'S SCORE?
Any mileage that you complete as an individual in your live and on-demand classes will count towards your team's score. We will record your distance via your individual Echelon memberships, and announce the team total at the end of each month.
I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO COMMIT / I'M NOT VERY FIT YET, BUT I STILL WANT TO BE INVOLVED.
You don't need to be an athlete to get involved with this challenge! Everyone's efforts, large and small, will make a positive contribution to your team.
I HAVE A TREADMILL/ROWER. WILL MY DISTANCE COUNT AS WELL?
Yes! Any mileage you achieve with your Echelon membership on any of our bikes, rowers, or treadmills will count towards your team.
HOW DO WE FIND OUT OUR TEAM'S TOTAL DISTANCE SO FAR?
The Echelon team will reveal this at the end of each month, and the instructors may give little updates along the way, if you’re lucky!
WHEN DOES THE CHALLENGE END?
The challenge will end on December 9th and the winning teams will be those who finish first and achieve the longest distance. The winning teams will receive special prizes!
I MISSED THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP, CAN I STILL GET INVOLVED?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will place you in a team.
