Let’s be real, November hits, and suddenly it’s pie, parties, travel, and to-do lists a mile long. Your routine? Yeah, that starts feeling like a distant memory. Here’s the thing: consistency doesn’t have to mean perfection. It doesn’t even have to mean pushing yourself to the edge. It just means showing up.
For me, that number is 30.
Thirty minutes a day. That’s it. That’s my non-negotiable.
I’m not trying to hit a personal record during the holidays. I’m not trying to lift heavier than last week or run faster than last month. I’m not chasing progress, I’m keeping the promise I made to myself.
When you stay consistent through the chaos, you don’t have to “start over” come January 1. You’re already in motion. You’ve already been showing up and that’s a win!
So as your calendar fills up, take a breath and ask yourself: What’s your number? Maybe it’s 10 minutes. Maybe it’s a walk around the block. Maybe it’s a full class on the app. It doesn’t matter what it is, just that you stick to it.
Discipline doesn’t mean doing the most.
It means doing something, even when it’s hard.
So let’s make a pact this season:
We move our bodies.
We stay kind to ourselves.
We keep our routines simple, sustainable, and stress-free.
